Rocco A. Spencer was born in Chicago in 1955.

In 1978 graduated from Milton College, history and political science.

During the studies was a part of ROTC and was granted a commission  as an US Army officer in December 1978.

Served in airborne infantry.

Various assignments as an officer:

• Platoon leader,
• Company commander,
• Operations and intelligence staff officer in a division staff.

Retired in 1999.

After retirement worked as an HR consultant for AT&T.

Moved to Poland in 2002.

Founded Leadership Source in 2006.

Fan of Napoleonic history, member of many reenactment groups, organizer of Napoleonic battle simulations.
